Meet the All-New DR-Z4SM – “Your Streets Your Pl4ground”

Product Release

Suzuki proudly presents the all-new DR-Z4SM, a highly advanced evolution of the DR-Z400SM designed for pure enjoyment on every ride!

Unveiled today at the 2024 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan alongside the DR-Z4S dual sport model, these exciting new offerings herald a new era of dual sport and supermoto engineering from Suzuki.

The new DR-Z4SM provides a level of faithful performance and freedom that will boost any rider’s confidence to a whole new level. This supermoto bike is built on a legacy of dominating the streets while having a blast in the process. And the new model updates it to carry this legacy well into the future. When riders hop on the DR-Z4SM, it’s all about fun and the freedom of riding to the rhythm of one’s own beat.

The DR-Z4SM evolves the legacy of the acclaimed DR-Z400 series, now fully compliant with Euro 5+ emissions standards and equipped with cutting-edge electronic rider assist systems, including the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector and Traction Control System. With it’s modern styling, sharp lines, and LED lighting, the DR-Z4SM not only looks the part but delivers enhanced performance through a revised engine and new frame, ready to every winding road, city scape or supermoto circuit.

Just as the DR-Z4S, the new DR-Z4SM is powered by a thoroughly updated 398cm³ single-cylinder, four-valve DOHC engine, delivering smooth and controllable power across its entire RPM range. The advanced fuel injection system, featuring 10-hole injectors, ensures easier cold starts and improved combustion efficiency, resulting in lower fuel consumption. Enhanced throttle response is achieved by maintaining the ideal fuel-air ratio, while dual spark plugs and lightweight titanium intake valves further optimise performance. The innovative exhaust system, equipped with a dual-stage catalytic converter, meets Euro 5+ emissions standards, combining environmental responsibility with an exhilarating ride quality!

Designed for agility and durability, the DR-Z4SM features a new pipe steel twin-spar frame that withstands rough conditions while providing precise handling. The long-travel, adjustable KYB suspension—both front and rear along with 17-inch front and rear wheels shod with Dunlop SPORTMAX Q5A tires ensures supermoto agility and grip in both wet and dry conditions.

The DR-Z4SM is equipped with the cutting-edge Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.), which includes the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS) to tailor performance to the riding environment. The custom-tuned Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS) features a Gravel mode to maximise supermoto capabilities. With the innovative Ride-by-Wire Electronic Throttle System, throttle response is both precise and adaptable, enhancing the overall riding experience.

The DR-Z4SM showcases a compact, full LCD instrument panel that provides clear and legible displays of essential information. Enhanced visibility is achieved through a modern LED lighting system, which includes integrated high/low beam projectors and prominent turn signals. Ergonomics are prioritised with tapered aluminium handlebars for shock absorption and comfort, as well as an optimally designed seat width for rider support. The bike's minimalistic styling reflects a contemporary design ethos while emphasising the performance and versatility of the DR-Z4SM.

The new DR-Z4Sm features a modern aesthetic with simple graphics and trendsetting colours, marking a fresh era in DR-Z design. Available in an all new and exclusive Sky Grey (Q1T) along with Solid Special White No. 2 (30H) featuring blue anodised rims, these new models are sure to make a statement.

In summary, the DR-Z4SM combines advanced engineering with thoughtful design, creating a supermoto motorcycle that will make daily commutes more exciting and weekend rides a total thrill.

The DR-Z4SM is set to launch in Australia in Q3 2025, with ride-away pricing to be announced closer to the release date. Pricing of accessories are also yet to be confirmed.
