Mick Hone Motorcycles opened its doors as a Suzuki dealer in November 1979. Started by well known Superbike racer Mick Hone, who in those days was locking horns with the likes of Graeme Crosby in the popular racing class of that time, the dealership quickly grew to become a successful and pre-eminent name whenever the Suzuki marque was mentioned. Helped by what were already buoyant times in the industry, the growth of the business was fortuitously further aided by a golden era in Suzuki history, coinciding with the early eighties releases of such classics as the GS1000S, the GSX1100, and the revolutionary Katana. And when Mick decided that his own racing career was drawing to a close, the decision to hand over the saddle to young up-and-coming gun Robbie Phillis proved a masterstroke. Mick Hone sponsored Superbikes dominated the Australian scene for the next 5 years, making the dealership and the Suzuki name synonymous.

Whilst we’ve had brief flirtations with other brands over the journey, it is Suzuki where the heart lies. No other shop can match our intimate knowledge of the brand and its models, no other shop can match our stock holding and expertise in Suzuki spare parts.

As well as our focus on providing the best parts service around, both to retail and trade customers, we carry an extensive range of accessories such as helmets, clothing and tyres-all quality and well-known brands are represented. And our fully equipped workshop staffed by only qualified mechanics will service most mainstream brands, as well as providing tyre fitting, RWC and accident repair facilities.

Our shop is conveniently located at 715-717 Whitehorse Road in the leafy suburb of Mont Albert, on the outskirts of Box Hill, 13 km directly east of Melbourne CBD. You can visit us from 8.30 till 5.30 Monday to Thursday, 8.30 till 6.30 Friday, and 8.30 till Mid-day Saturdays.
